I hate when people I know come into my work and say things like:

“you’re still working here!???”
“Oh my god I can’t believe you’re STILL here”.
“that’s insane! You haven’t left yet???!”

Of course I feel the same some days but they act like I should somehow be embarrassed or ashamed by the fact that I’ve held a steady job for six years and earned a living while putting myself through school. And even though my job sucks….a lot….I don’t think I should feel embarased about doing it so long. I think anybody that has a job and especially a fucking shitty job should be proud of themselves for showing up to it every day. Because it takes a lot to be present and not kill all the shitty ass people you work with but dammit you fucking do it!! And that’s something….I’m not sure what exactly but it’s definitely something.
